This week we’re featuring two popular strains from the expert breeders at Exotic Genetix, Cookies and Cream & Grease Monkey. Our cultivation team works tirelessly to produce the best flowers possible and we appreciate every opportunity to share our knowledge with patients and hear your personal feedback.
Cookies and Cream is a cross of Mystery Cookies and Starfighter F2 from Exotic Genetix. The result is a Cookies-dominant plant with earthy and fuel notes. Patients familiar with the Cookies strains will recognize its structure, characterized by dense flowers with large trichome covered calyxes. A striking contrast between the white frost and the dark black leaves catches the eye immediately, making it a must try for Cookies fans. Creamy subtleties add a smooth air to the wafting aroma of deep earth. Some phenotypes lean more towards the fuel aroma, while others are a bit more on the creamy/earthy side of the spectrum. Although we’re still choosing our mother plant, each example in our current harvest is top quality and reasonably similar in character.
The Cookies and Cream strain is recommended for those who like OG, Gorilla Glue, Cookies and other Kush genetics. Patients can expect heavy indica-dominant effects and high potency, which may provide relief from chronic pain, anxiety and insomnia. We also have a number of Cookies and Cream crosses in our roster and this flower has many dominant traits that can be recognized in its progeny, so be sure to check out Lemon Meringue (Lemon Skunk x Cookies and Cream) and Extreme Cream (Extreme OG x Cookies and Cream) as well.
Grease Monkey is a cross of Gorilla Glue #4 and Cookies and Cream from Exotic Genetix. This Gorilla Glue cross has a dominant fuel aroma and flavor, along with hints of grape and citrus. Our selections lean towards the Gorilla Glue side of the cross, with added color, depth and sweetness from the Starfighter. Patients can expect dense and colorful buds, many of which exhibit purple hues as they mature. Round and full calyxes along with significant resin production are both reminiscent of the Gorilla Glue genetics as well. Grease Monkey is recommended for those seeking relief from nausea, pain and anxiety. It’s also sure to please any patients who prefer the rich flavor and effects of Diesel and Kush dominant genetics.
Both of this week’s featured strains are relatively new to our facility and while we are still making our final phenotype selections, we’ve been very happy with the results so far. Please be aware of the plant number, as this indicates the specific phenotype; any patient feedback between phenotypes is greatly appreciated and will be taken into account as we make our final selections. We’ll continue introducing new strains regularly and we’re excited to share a wide range of genetics developed by some of the most prolific breeders in the world.
