Adult use marijuana sales will begin soon in Massachusetts and Patriot Care looks forward to serving you. Please review the information below and don’t forget to sign up for updates at the bottom of the page.
What does adult use mean?
Under Massachusetts law, adults 21 and over will be permitted to purchase marijuana products at licensed dispensaries. Similar programs in other states are sometimes referred to as recreational sales. The law was approved by Massachusetts voters in November 2016 and the Cannabis Control Commission is currently in the process of implementing regulations before sales can begin.
When will adult use sales begin at Patriot Care?
Patriot Care is working closely with regulators to ensure the successful launch of adult use sales in Massachusetts. We cannot provide an exact date yet, but please complete the form at the bottom of this page and we’ll be sure to notify you when the first sales are scheduled to take place.
Which Patriot Care facilities will offer adult use sales?
What are the qualifications for making adult use purchases?
When adult use sales begin, all adults 21 and older will be eligible to purchase. Customers will need to present a government-issued photo ID when entering the dispensary.
Are there purchase limits for adult use?
Yes. Adult use purchases are limited to 1 ounce of flower or 5 grams of concentrate per transaction.
How will medical patients be affected?
Adult use sales in Massachusetts do not replace or change the Medical Use of Marijuana Program. Meeting the needs of medical patients remains Patriot Care’s core mission and we’ll continue to offer the same high quality products and services patients have come to expect at all Patriot Care dispensaries (Boston, Greenfield, Lowell).
